		<description>Christian, sorry for the delay in posting this.

I frame the discussion of the Bible around story telling.  I ask if students have anyone in their family who likes to tell stories about when they were younger.  What school was like, what life at home was like, what they played, etc.  I tie that into the fact the Bible is comprised of stories, initially told orally (just like in their families) but eventually written down so they would not be forgotten.  Then we bridge into what the stories tell, namely our salvation history.

As for the different styles used, we find psalms &amp; canticles, folktales, historical accounts, short stories, parables, letters and apocalyptic stories.  Quite a variety in this library of God.
